Yttervägg

A climate-separating wall: the build-up, not the finish, decides almost everything downstream.

Innervägg

A separating wall inside the climate shell: sound and fire requirements usually govern, not weather.

Door

Dörr

A hosted opening element whose decision usually splits into leaf, frame and hardware set.

A hosted opening element where glazing, frame and installation are governed separately.

Floor / slab

Bjälklag

A horizontal structural and separating element, usually the largest single carbon item in a building.

IFC: IfcSlab typed by IfcSlabType, PredefinedType FLOOR or BASESLAB
Qty: Area (m²) per layer and volume (m³) for cast layers, from the extracted model version

Roof

Tak

A climate-separating upper enclosure where the layer sequence, not the shape, drives requirements.

IFC: IfcRoof, with slab components typed by IfcSlabType, PredefinedType ROOF

Ceiling

Undertak

A finishing and often acoustic system suspended below the structure, governed by the space it serves.

Column

Pelare

A vertical carrying member; architectural and structural columns are separate identities.

IFC: IfcColumn typed by IfcColumnType

Beam / structural framing

Balk

A horizontal carrying member, usually resolved by profile and length.

Stair

Trappa

A circulation assembly where regulation, not the model, sets most of the binding requirements.

IFC: IfcStair with IfcStairFlight components, typed by IfcStairType

Railing / balustrade

Räcke

A safety element resolved by linear metre and by tested load capacity.

Glasfasad

A glazed facade system resolved at system level — its mullions and panels are not stand-alone walls.
