Quantity basis
Volume (m³) or mass (kg) for structural members; each (count) for standard profiles
Classification placement
Where this element is normally designated in each Swedish reference system. Code values stay with their publishers.
| System | Designated in | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| CoClass | Functional systems (carrying), then Components for the member | Carrying function first; the specific profile or cast section as the component. |
| BIP | Object designation plus load and fire-class property designations | Makes the structural designation readable to the architectural model. |
| BK04 | Group and article — steel profiles, concrete, fire protection | Candidate supply for a stated member requirement. |
Where it enters the chain
Identity → classification → contract → recipe → product. Fire protection of the member is a separate requirement from the member itself.
What a code lookup does not settle
- An architectural column enclosing a structural one duplicates geometry; counting both double-counts the quantity.
- Mass from a profile designation requires a governed density; it is never inferred.
