Classification placement
Where this element is normally designated in each Swedish reference system. Code values stay with their publishers.
| System | Designated in | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| CoClass | Functional systems (finishing), then Components for tiles and grid | A ceiling is a finishing system; its parts are components with their own requirements. |
| BIP | Object designation plus acoustic property designations | Makes the declared absorption class readable. |
| BK04 | Group and article — ceiling tiles, grid, suspension | Supplier grouping for candidate tiles and carriers. |
Where it enters the chain
Identity → classification → contract → recipe. The space's use — a wet room, a classroom — is where the acoustic or moisture requirement comes from.
What a code lookup does not settle
- Ceiling area rarely equals room floor area once bulkheads and services are present.
- An absorption class in a type name is intent; the product declaration is the evidence.
