Classification placement
Where this element is normally designated in each Swedish reference system. Code values stay with their publishers.
| System | Designated in | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| CoClass | Functional systems (protecting), then Components | A protection duty realised by a specific railing component. |
| BIP | Object designation plus height and load property designations | Makes safety-relevant properties readable. |
| BK04 | Group and article — posts, handrails, infill panels, glass | Component-level supply grouping. |
Where it enters the chain
Identity → classification → contract → recipe → product. Height and load requirements come from regulation via the contract.
What a code lookup does not settle
- Hosted railings inherit the host's geometry; when the stair changes, the railing quantity changes with it.
- Glass infill is usually a separate certified product from the frame.
