More than reopening a report
A report shows a result. Replay asks whether the recorded basis supports that result again. Exact project and model scope, quantities, selected products and governing versions matter as much as the final number.
Same basis, same result
Determinism means the same inputs under the same rules and versions produce the same result. Recalculating against today's price or a newly edited material is a new evaluation, rather than a replay of the original decision.
When the basis is incomplete
Missing or incompatible evidence should be reported explicitly. A plausible substitute cannot establish what happened in the original decision.
Ask for a bounded demonstration
In a walkthrough, ask us to show the scope supported by the current receipt implementation: issue a receipt, reload it, inspect its recorded basis and compare its preserved result after a later edit. Coverage must be established for the particular workflow.
