Solutions
Understand what is being priced and selected.
Connect a construction choice to its quantity basis, product evidence and commercial assumptions.
Updated
A build-up you can discuss
Start with an agreed system and recipe. Identify the required materials and the specific products proposed for them, so everyone can see what the estimate actually includes.
Make the quantity basis visible
Gross or net area, openings, ancillary materials and waste can change a wall estimate. Establish these explicitly; a material quantity does not automatically establish a complete installed cost.
Review a substitution
Assess the proposed replacement against the same requirements. Review its units, dimensions, supporting evidence, price basis and carbon scope before accepting a new evaluation.
Prepare a focused pilot
Bring one construction, its quantity basis and a supplier quotation. Use the walkthrough to establish which parts can be evidenced today and which decisions still need to be made.
